Membership Recruitment


The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Greater Knoxville Chapter sponsors a membership recruitment event once a year in the spring. Current members invite (sponsor) individuals who they believe would be excellent members. Anyone can apply for membership; however you must have a current member sponsor (vouch) for your character. The National Coalition of Black Women, Greater Knoxville Chapter is seeking women of good character with a desire to serve in the chapter and/or community.

Our organization is committed to setting a positive example for the youth and support other organizations that benefit women and the community.

What a New Member Can Expect

All members will participate in training and development sessions quarterly. The training includes, but is not limited to: information on rules for non-profits, review and understanding of the charter's by-laws, negotiation techniques and fundraising.

As a member you will be given an opportunity to participate on joint committees and events that provide exposure to local, state and national political and government officials, business owners and prominent citizens of the local community. In addition, there are volunteer opportunities to assist in worthy causes such as HIV AIDS awareness and Teen Development.
